Well... I have been refurbishing a pair of old Marvics and in the course of this they needed totally stripping for crack testing and recoating. Unfortunately this meant I had to loose the original decals....
I do love the 1990s Italian English..." Casted"
I did get some decals off Ebay but that was £9 down the drain as the quality of the printing was shite.
In desperation I wrote to Marvic customer service in Italy asking if there was any way I could get hold of decals for the wheels.
After several weeks and no response I had nearly given up hope when..an airmail letter arrived from Italy........
a nice set of white logo'd rim stickers and lots of others as well; free and Gratis!. Just what's needed as a finishing touch for the freshly refurbed wheels. I guess with modern really wide rims there is more space to locate some of these extra decals.
The final pic shows the difference between the E Bay 'bootleg specials' and the genuine item. Chalk and cheese!!
We all complain about bad service (rightly so) but nice to be able to say something nice as well. Thank you Silvia!! _________________ Not as many bikes as I would like and already too many to keep up with! |
