Does the Odyssey battery really weigh 15.5 lbs (7.0 kg)?

They are HEAVY , although from memory they do 2 variants of each model . One variant is steel reinforced for crash performance so even HEAVIER Shocked Laughing

Alright fellas, winter has finally come to an end. Spent a few hours steam cleaning and getting the bike ready for a test run. Turns over and sounds healthy. Just need some fresh plugs and oil and we’ll be good to hear it fire! Running dummy 1098 stock pipes for now, just to have something in place.

How do the 1098 pipes fit?

The stock 1098 pipes are the same diameter but are not angled perfectly so with some slight pipe bending, I think they would work well. I have yet to fit them with the tail section, so I’ll report back when I get to it. The cans are a good fit, the contoured pipe leading to the can is a bit off.

I am a fan of the TwoBrothers carbon pipes on Japanese twins - the V.A.L.E. System has the exhaust cans detached from the entry pipe and allows for a significant amount of adjustment. That is my current plan moving forward.

You peaked my interest.

My SB8K SM has the OEM cans for now.

It’s alive!

Idles and runs great so far.

Fuel tank is leaky at the separation seam. Will need to fix before test ride, so it’ll be a bit I’m sure.

Next steps:
Fuel tank repair
Exhaust fabrication
Seat fabrication. Thinking of 3D printing a base for now. Let me know if anyone has a better idea

Can’t sleep. This thing kicks ass
