More Understandable? Jeeso...I was there for all of it and only just kept up with the thread....Yes....several trips to Italy.....and there was an extra one thrown in as a mere "Jolly" to go to Eicma last year to see the New TesiH2....a strange trip as we didnt bring a bike back on that occasion. |

Good morning...Bimota folk.
It is here, it is in the UK ...it is a 1992 Official Bimota Factory Race Tesi 1D
I bought this from a trusted source with verified by paperwork from the receiver when Bimota went bankrupt.
this along with a few other choice Bimota artifacts and the Hionda Tesi were bought in a job lot along with Engineers notes, signed Engineers drawings and letters to prove that these bikes had campaigned.
The other thing was the race tacho....the unique Bimota race item shown in period photographs and not the OEM dash unit used in other series.

More on the TESI page.
regards
Gavin

Absolutely Stunning....Engineers drgs of skill and beauty....gifted from one Engineer to another...real old skool, in not only their design and fabrication...but in that they were gifted as part of a friendship...as opposed to touted out on ebay to the highest or last bidder.....
Real shame they cant be mounted and shown in a full proper museum setting.....although a few out there may attest to having said "musuems" of their own bimotas...albeit not normally open to the Public...
their gifting is a credit to the gifter and the gifted...giftee??.....Nice things happen to nice People...."NICE"..... |

THAT is bloody awesome Gav!!! What an amazing piece of that part part of Bimota’s history. Truly a treasure. I’m so happy for you (and maybe just a wee bit jealous) _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Hello gentlemen and women,
I am new to the forum. I've been a Ducati person in ownership for most of my life but have been secretly harbouring a love for Bimota for most of this time but they have been unobtainable due to price.... but as you know, its the Holy Grail.
I have seen a YB11 for sale on eBay that has low mileage and just wondered about your view on choice of model and this bike?
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bimota-YB11-superleggera-2005-only-3840-miles/233511576545?hash=item365e5fe3e1:g:tAAAAOSwqR5dyFl2
Might do to a swap for my Benelli Tornado Tre900.
Thanks and nice to virtually meet you.

Jilligan , YB11 is a pretty safe bet .
They do have a slightly strange riding position , which is also quite cramped/compact , depending on your height ( I'm 6ft)
Other than that if its a later one with the electric clocks they can be a bit temperamental and the 51mm fork seals are difficult to come by , although 2" imperial ones will work. |
