Hi, I'm Laminator.
I own a 1988 Bimota YB4EI. It was bought new from Padgett's and has been in the family ever since. The bike is a dream to ride and I'm addicted to the engine noise, well I am a petrol head
I had a few electrical issues with the bike, but other than that she's been trouble free. The electrical problems were down to the age of the bike, the magnets in the cam and crank sensors had deteriorated. Found the problem, new sensors, and she's running lovely. I have created a wiring diagram for the bike (very nearly complete), if anyone needs it or has any questions ask away.
And here she is...

Definatly looks appealing.
All the best

Thank you laurencewhite
I love the new DB7, I've seen a couple of pictures of it already. More power from the 1098 engine, lightweight, etc. sounds like the right direction for Bimota. I heard a rumor Bimota might be thinking of entering the WSB series in the future. Which is where they made their name with the YB4, first bike to win a WSB race (Donington 1988) :0 |

Easiest way to post pictures is to up load them to a free photo bucket account or similar and then just link to them |

No wonder you had to have it. I didn't realize they ran the same paintwork. They look great and as they say on the antiques road show... if only you had a pair they would be worth a fortune ... _________________ Pomps

I was keen myself for a while, but they had poor pictures posted on the bay and couldn't get down in time. And then when searching the archives I found the YB7 also cam in a tri-color scheme, the gold pin stripe then seemed a bit blong, trying to kick my blong hanit, trying, trying so hard. Right man bagged it, looks a beaut |
