So lets recap Gary, you have the time off, you know the area, you've done the ring and you have the most recognizable ugly bike... that makes you the perfect leader? Anyone second the motion?
ps. You dont have a black lab do you? _________________ Pomps

I said I may be off work - will check when I go back tomorrow.
Don't really fancy leading you lot across Europe - I like to make good progress
And no - I don't have a black lab - but if I did, I think I would be in a lot of trouble if I named it after Guy Gibsons dog!!! _________________ Bimota SB6 and Benelli TNT 899S road bikes.

you're right Pompey, like I said before, if anyone is visiting the 'big ring' anytime, let me know and I can try and meet up.
I'll put the details about Schottenring and my 'tea party' in a new post so we don't get two tours confused.
There are plenty of other good events at other times too, some I hope to get to, such as:
31 Aug to 1 Sep, 'Glemseck' biker meeting near Stuttgart with drag racing for old cafe racer style bikes- this event is getting cult.
Same location: There is also a classic car/bike racing event on the old solitude circuit earlier in the year- probably August, but no date yet.
29 June to 1 July, Spa bikers classic endurance race.
8 to 10 June, Eifel rennen, classic cars and bikes including F1 and Can am cars at the Nurburgring. There's also the Biker weekend as Oily says.
'Festival Italia' at Ochersleben circuit on 24 June or Biketober fest in let me think now . . . October ! unlike the Munich Octoberfest which is in September mostly.
look on internet for some of the above, but it's sometimes difficult to get clear information. I'll put up a post if anything gets clear.
also I make a tour nearly every year with a few friends, normally 50 odd people from all over Germany. This time we are going to the Tirol on June 14th to 16th and anybody is welcome.

german bikers, got to love em! For years i used the head of a certain biker club as my additional in country protection. Manfred Myers ( MM security). One of the best guys I ever worked with who sadly passed away a couple of years back. He was a Frankfurter, you may even have heard of him? _________________ Pomps

his name rings a bell, but I certainly never met him.
Are you thinking that I might be German?? doesn't really matter, everyone does. The times people have told me that I speak really good English.
Found another event, I'll put up another post because it's in June . .

Of course you're not german. You have a great taste in bikes and not one picture on the forum of you wearing speedo's with a quart of beer in your hand slapping your thighs _________________ Pomps
