Forget about me visiting you mate... I think i'll just move in! I'm planning on riding around Tassie some time in the (hopefully) not too distant future. I'd like to ride down to Phillip Island for the WSB's and then slip over to Tassie and have a look around. I recon the weather should be not too bad in Feb/ March? Not sure if it'll be next year or the year after. I rode down for the MotoGP a couple years ago and it a fantastic trip. _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Fish,
That is quite a collection, unfortunately I've just got the one, its a SB4 Ive had for about 12 months and I can understand your "addiction", I wouldn't mind a few more myself.

Christ you Aussie boys, some fella sticks a notice up saying "Australians" and you all come out of the woodwork for your own little chat. I know you live in a big country, and you're coming into your Summer so getting excited about riding again but if you log on to the Memberlist at the top of the Forum you can sort via location, and see who else whats to come out to play.
I'd post a message saying "Englishmen" but it would offend the irish, scottish and welsh and our Chicken shit government would have me up for racism.
Happy that you are all posting, time difference gives me something to read whilst at work |

Hey that's funny shit 2bims .
So how many current Aussie members have got here? If there's anyone close enough to me i'd be keen for a ride to catch up. It's nice to talk to people who have actually heard of Bimota. _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Quick check shows theres 22 members in Oz, how many still ride/own though is anyones guess. Pretty good going though for a country that has such high import tax on Foreign bikes
Theres also the odd Aussie listed on this register, that you could email

Brian,
Found an Australian dealer who says he can get bits for any Bimota the factory has bit in stock for. try FX Powersports in Brunswick, Melbourne, Phone 03 93889000, or www.fxpowersports.com.au. Ask for Alan or speak to Urban moto imports on 03 9387 8827. Talked to these guys at our local Festival of Italian Motorcycling last Sunday and they seemed all to happy to help.
Cheers |

Thanks Les, I briefly spoke to Alan a couple weeks ago. He did seem helpful and confident that he could source most parts. I haven't got back to him yet with the parts i want _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Hi guys, bit slow reactviating my login
I've had a YB6 fora few years now. Redone all the suspension, brake lines, steering head etc. and bits and pieces on the engine.
As posted elsewhere. looking for a steel frame Bimota. Probably a YB5 I've located in Europe for good money.
cheers _________________ YB6, Gilera Saturno, Guzzi Lemans Mk1, KTM 640 Advenutre, Honda CB900FC |
