I like the H1/H2 colors the most but the L model is just such a good bike! |
My view exactly neils. The H1/ H2 models were raw and basic. These first couple models were were closer to how the race engineers would build the bike and as the years went on they were refined but lost some of the caracter i recon. The later models were definately a better bike for the road and really went well if you used the revs. I still love the caracter of the H1/ H2 though. _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Very nice pomps. I'vre never had the pleasure of riding an R model ZXR but would like to one day. Close ratio gearbox, fully adjustable suspension etc. I recon it's a keeper if you can afford to keep it. I know i would _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Yes, it's a keeper. I had one a few years back and regretted selling it to much. It's funny, just 5 years back I struggled to sell it at 2 grand, now they go for double that and are often advertised higher. I agree with the h1 /2 comment though. A bit like the 86 gixxer. No frills, just race. _________________ Pomps

That would have been nice to have in the shed, even nicer to have on a track. I do like the red and green paint scheme. _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

I put the ZXR up on the bike bench today ready to strip it down. But... i think i might fix the brakes first, put the fairing back on and take it for a ride before i strip it. It been well over 5 years since i've ridden it and i've missed it so _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

My first summer in London was 89, it was a warm summer and ZXR750's and Thou Exup's were popular _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

That's a nice K1 and an M1 would be even nicer. They have been collected for thee last 2 years here so they are not much for sale anymore. Prices have not gone up yet but the nicer bikes stay with their owners... |

They al look pretty to me, it reminds me to my first moped (50cc).
Painted in the kawasaki colour scheme of a zxr 750 and later on added the same stickers but i have no pictures of that.
Anyway thought you might like it.
It was fun to ride and looked pretty good ( currently i am not sure about that but 14 years ago i was very pleased with this italian drama (hard time with ignition and such things).

I bought a GPX750R brand new in 1989, one of only 2 bikes that I've ever bought brand new. Shortly after i bought it the H1 ZXR750 appeared in the dealership. Wow, what an amazinf looking bike i thought. Anyway i was very happy with the GPX and kept it for 2 years... then traded it on a H1 ZXR750. Sweet memories _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

I was close to buying a red/black H1 last year., then I was close to buying a OW01 too until the guy renaded on the deal.
For me when I was 17 [in '89] there was a guy 3 doors up who had one when they first came out, in red/black. I suppose that's the reason.
I'd hear him start it in the morning, let it idle for a few mins and then take off up the road short shifting up the box. then in the evenings he'd come back in maybe 11pm, blipping the throttle as he down changed from about 70-80mph [it was a 30 limit].
Maybe it was him that started the interest in bikes, or the tuned TZR 250 he had before it with Swarbrick cans on it!
I'd still like a ZXR, just like the OW01's that could be got for £4-5k a couple or three years back they've shot up in value, as have the K and M ZXR's _________________ 03 YB11, 03 Aprilia RSVR Edwards, 94 Ducati Superlight III, 95 Honda NC30, 04 Ducati 999S, 91 kawasaki KR1-S C2, 91 Ducati 851 USD Strada, 89 ZXR750H1, 90 ZXR400H1, 205 16v Rally Car, A6 2.7TDI Avant, STM R1 engined Phoenix |

Well i've manage to pick up some nice goodies for this track bike build. I scored an ex privateer race bike '95 ZXR750 same as mine. I was going to buy some parts off this guy but it was too good to pass up so bought the whole bike. Hasn't been on a track for years, no bodywork, plenty of good bits for me though. Flatslide Keihins, fully enclosed carbon airbox, brand new never bolted on yoshi full exhaust system, new yoshi multi gasuge, 6 pot brakes, ohlins rear, ohlins damper, M model alloy tank, marvic rear wheel. Can't wait to get it home! _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |
