5.5inch is really for 160 ish tyres, maybe 170 like the original 900ss, 6inch is 180/190 section rear tyre as the db4's were. Rim width is not really the issue its the rear tyre size. I guess the IE wears 180 rear like the tricolor? so there is no change in the rear overall dimensions, just fitting the correct rim for the tyre.
Dont think you will find any modern bike with a 180 rear on a 5.5 rear wheel. In fact if you spoke to a tyre man I'm sure they would not recommend that.
Anyway, the offer is there, but 3.5 and 6 inch UP7 rims only. Although my order has gone in now, so not sure if I can change it. |

had many gixxer 750's and all came with 180 tyres / 5.5" rims |

| Hey what can I say, the last bike I had with a 180 rear and a 5.5 rim was an 851 in 1991, since then as far as I can remember they have all had 6, and all my current bikes have 6. |
