Took the Mantra for a run out this afternoon and visited a few "local" bike shops en route.
Moto Strada (Shipley) had an SB8R (fitted with yummy Marvic wheels) and an SB6R in the showroom. The SB8R had been sold, as had the 6R they were selling on behalf of its owner.
Route 65 (Ilkley) had 2 Bimota YB11's in - 1 sold, 1 for sale. And a rather delightful Doocahtee 851.
No pics I'm afraid - too busy chatting!

Yes - but its a very long shopping list!
I have stepped back from buying another Bimota or a Ducati for now as I am investing what little cash I have into my V4 2-stroke project.
And one of these, which I am collecting tomorrow. Very Happy

@ GeeKay...The sold YB11 at Route65 is the one I've just bought...Love the bike...not so taken with the customer service...

Gary, who dealt with the sale (over the phone) was superb...but when I went to pick it up (trailering my 12 month old VN900 with 960 miles on it as a trade in and driving for over 2 hours)...I dealt with Mark...and to be honest I felt like I was imposing on his time...

Welcome to the forum - nice bike you have bought. Sorry about the scratch on the fairing - zip on my leathers caught it Very Happy
yes - Gary is a good guy - I go over there and chat for ages with him and have never bought a thing!
Mark is the guy from Moto Strada, probably baby-sitting Route 65 whilst Gary is away on holiday. He's always been OK with me, even when hassling me to sell my Bimotas to him.
Pictures of bikes are compulsory. Wink

Scratch!...(goes outside to check bike...lol)...I'm intending on getting the odds and sods bits sorted - stonechips, small cracks around two of the fixings, then having the bodywork wrapped - read an article in Fast Bikes ( or one of those mags) where one of the staff had their R1 done...It's a clear covering that protects the bodywork.

Simon

P.S...I'll hopefully gwt some pics later today...as long as the chuffing weather holds....grrrr...hate british weather...

No chance of Bimota overload in Australia. Very few and far between, certainly in my area. It's nice to run into a motorcycle enthusiest every now and then here that actually has heard of Bimota!
