Filled the bike at a service station got back on it and .... nothing. Complete electrical nothingness. Took me 2 hours to get recovery. I'll drag the fairing off tomorrow and have a look at the main fuse I suppose.

Sad

No it wasn't wet.
I'd had a bit of a time starting it, it would run a bit on carb cleaner but wouldn't catch. I went and got more petrol (in one piece leathers) still wouldn't catch. Took the seat unit off and it fired ... trapped the vacum hose !!!
So then the plan was to ride off onto the M1 but didn't get out of London

Got the fairing off and have a look at the soleniod with a view to check th main fuse. Well I couldn't get the fuse holder off. I tried taking off the solenoid, prising with a screwdriver and penetrating oil still couldn't shift it.
Turned the key and it all worked ... you little f*cker !!!

Well there's a couple of small jobs to do with the fairing off so I guse that's going to be done now rather than later.

If by solved you mean do I have electrics then yes Smile
If you mean do I know why it happened then no ... Smile

I did however fing the headlights (from a Gix 1100 in a plate) push onto the header tankso I'm going to see if I can move the tank up to allow the lights to move back.
