Yeah i'm not sure now. I don't remember seeing the big round diaphram cover, that's what made me think they must be flatslides. I'll pull the seat cowl off again on Fridat to check. Got me thinkin' now.

NO......
the standard carbs for this application are at best adequate, with the bimota airbox they are quite strangled and are an absolute pain to set up with out an air box Wink

No you don't it will come out through the top of the frame.

There's a long bolt that holds the casing on which (apparently) doesn't have the clearance to get it out with the engine in the frame. If you don't want that in then you can do it.

mine was changed without dropping engine and with all the relevant bolts ,
maybe earlier models were different? mine is a late one .

Ahh the mod done on my alternator is to the drive on the end of the alternator which is under the carbs not the one pictured .
