A mate of mine has a bb1 for sale in excellent condition. 10,000km, full MOT, gorgeous alloy tank, Marvic wheels.

Take a look at the rear wheel. Looks like a wheel for a left-hand chain bike has been used, and that the sprocket is mounted on top of the original brake disk?
This would mean that there is no rubber shock absorbers in the sprocket carrier, not the best idea for a big single. Or I might be wrong.

I use a pair of Ducati TT2 wheels on my BB1, and had the same challenge, but solved it another way.

Anyway, I'd really like to lay my hands on a tank like that. Anyone know where it was made?

Having seen the tank and admired the quality of it, the only place I know of that produces one-offs to that standard is here

http://www.thetankshop.com/

but nothing on their website to confirm that they did make it.

I cant believe the price's for an alloy tank. They are works of art and must take an age to produce. Every one is a one off, and only 450-500 GBP. bargian.

I agree. And yes, I also guessed it might be the tank shop. The only drawback i the delivery time, from what I have heard it takes months.
I have a damaged tank on my Duc Mille S2, and a replacement from the tank shop is definitely at the top of my wish list (along with a bb1 supermono tank like the one in the picture).

If someone buys that bike and would like to swap for an original tank, I'm in Smile
