can any body help i want to replace the break and clutch leavers on my bike for a set of Trac tech ones , but of corse they do not List them for the bimotas but do for ducatis and im trying to find out which ducati shares the same master cyclinder its the one with the large hollow mounting pin .
I did buy a set for a 1999 996 but found that the pin was the wrong size but luckly they fitted the Mille so no loss

Hi

Any way you could measure the hollow mounting pin?

Thought they all had a large hollow mounting pin.

All the best

thanks for that kieth, i do know the hole size but when ordering from a mail order cattalog you can only order buy part number and only if you know the right bike and year , and as wee know not many firms make stuff for bimotas , i did buy a set for a 1999 ducati 916 but they were wrong size i think i need an earlyer year 916 as i remember i had a 1994 916 and it was a similar fit

Hi

Just wondering if we could compare them with any bikes we also have.

Didn't know the pivot points varied in size. I have a m/c from an Aprilia Mille on my Dieci. The lever from that just about fits the m/c on my old Aprilia AF1s (Brembo m/c with the integral reservior, like those used on Monsters). Pivot point is the same size (pretty large),

All the best

Keith

Hey bud, the lads at SP motorcycles in Exeter may be able to help you out. They are good friends of mine and the owners used to be the main mechs. for Bridge Motorcycles. Ask for Kai or Steve ( The owner ) and he will point you in the right direction I'm sure. You can tell them " Pompey" said he will kick their butts if they dont find the answer! Good luck.

they are called Trak-Tech they range from £25.00 to £35 .00 Each and you can get them from Busters and M&P.
I got a set on my Mille and on the SB8R Very Happy they also do stubby ones

Bimota SB8R/SB8RS use early Ducati style levers with the "big pivot" which is 12mm is size....

Do not confuse these with the other common early Ducati levers which use the "small pivot" which is 8mm in size

hope this helps
