Nice to see our Spokes person of choice ( Big hands for Mr Wilson) put across such a united view on our beloved company .

I especially liked the statement about the v-due, THEY WERE A BAG OF SHITE, very eloquent.

Having collected the first to be delivered in the UK I have to say they were not the best, and although I still think they look the dogs nut's I would still struggle to purchase another even though it may be claimed to be fixed.

I how-ever would not class them as a 'bag of shite' , issues yes.

By issues you mean - It doesn't work.

You pay thousands of pounds for a brand new bike and the engine doesn't run or it's impossible to know if it will run or not. The only way to get it to run is to spend more money and have more machining work done on it.

That is a bag of shite

It obviously was not acceptable as I got my money back. Steve Wynne( Sports Motorcycles and importer at the time) gave me 2 choices, they would fix it under warrenty , eventually, or my money back. I took the money as I still had the sb6 anyway. It was not the struggle to get the money back as Glen suggests and I still would not say to a national publication it was a bag of shite, because it was'nt.
It appears to me our EX illustrious leader has had a bit of a falling out with the marque.

Or maybe he's not affraid to call a spade a spade. I don't blame him for winding the club afterall he might just have a life outside the marque. I wouldn't want to organise a club and I would try to avoid knocking what you haven't tried.

I'm a member of VJMC because it allows me to get classic insurance I think I pay £25 a year and I get a monthly mag, which I hardly ever open let alone read. At least the Bimota Enthusiasts had a relevant newsletter, meets, area rides and tours.

We could carry on for hours.

No I have never tried to run a web based club, and no it can not be easy.
However, has Glen ever owned a V-DUE ??? NO may be the answer.

Admittibly , I only owned my v-due for about 2 weeks.

I personly think the Mantra is pig ugly and a bag of SHITE, but would I say that as an Bimota owner to a national publication that is probably going to print it , Urm - NO.

The Mantra might not apeal to you but it does forfill it's brief. Much much faster than the V-due too in a hare and tortoise kind of a way.

When you're interviewed by a magazine on a particular subject it's better to give an honest opinion that way you'll maintain your credability.
If you disagree whith the comment so much why not write into Bike and voice it ??? In the "Exotica" article where they choose the RG250 SP for the 2 strokes they mention the V-Due as a contender they also say "nobody actually wants one".

interesting article, especially as a YB11 owner with a Edwards rep in the garage too. Pity they couldn't get the details right, 45 in the uk of 461 worldwide. Whilst very different to the YB11 the Edwards (RSVR) is a cracking bike. Good value too.
And I've ridden my bike over the roads they're talking, bicycle that is, hit 50mph coming down the hill shown, on a 186 mile in a day ride in may. My arse is still sore Smile Very Happy
