Probably the simplest and most cost effective mods you can make to the Supermono without shelling out thousands on Team Pami high compression pistons and machining is to remove the standard airbox, fit K@N filters and rejet.
This can add as much as 10 bhp if properly set up. It also increases bottom end torque too which goes against the general rule.
As the electrics are mounted on the top of the air box a heat resistant shield needs to be made and the ram air pipes routed to supply cold air to the K&N filters.
Total job price including dyno time and conversion about £350
Cheers,

More news on jets.
The standard Supermono exhaust is quite free flowing, as is the airbox. When Bimota spec'd the carbs they just threw on the same carbs as the F650 too, but that has a completely different exhaust.
The common view is that the standard main is too big and that going down to 128's is the way to go(from the standard 134's). Fitting a Dynojet needle also seems popular to get rid of the "hole" in the mid range.
Saying that, My bike doesn't have this hole. But it will be getting smaller mains |
