Worth the extra effort. Rockers, shims, belts, oil, filter, plugs, headstock, front forks rebuilt, rear shock re gassed, new springs, rectifier, battery etc. All new, bound to bin it first time out!

My bodywork is supposed to be finished this coming week after at least five failed dead lines. Why is it painters are always late? Still, let's hope quality is ok and design as per discussion, fingers crossed... Shocked

To be honest its usually a good sign if they are late, as it means they are busy, and as such must be good, and as they say, good things in life are worth waiting for.

Well at least you should be "safe" that the company hasn't gone out of business if its just a paint shop.
When Midlands Superbikes went under a lot of guys had their bikes with them on sale on a commission basis, only to find out the bikes had "sold" some time ago and the money had also sailed on the same ship. Always best to check in on places from time to time just to check they are still there, trading and have work in hand

looks like we will have to wait a bit longer for bodywork. The good news is his finished prodct is stunning, like glass factory finish. But, he put all the stickers in the wrong place because he thought it would look better then the diagrams and pictures I did with him! After further questioning he admitted to a blonde moment and that he will re do them once I have ordered another sticker kit. mmmmmm, double bugger. Rolling Eyes

It is a shame because I head off on Tuesday to the wide blue yonder so wont see it in the final stages of the rebuild. I dont wont to put the whole thing on hold til I get back, i want to ride the thing!

here is a quick mock up I did with the side panel (yet to be finished), belly pan and seat unit... The Ducati 851 logo should run higher and parallel with the edge of the belly pan.
