Another variation on "barn find"........a snow bank find
Amazing how/why people do things like that.
Good job there are people like us who are happy to put them back together again |

I'm defiantly NOT one of them there purists but are you aware that you've got the wrong front mudguard?
I only mention it as someone else on here had problems with fitting the wrong mudguard.
Looks good though and I hope it does fit |

Good luck with the rebuild, i can't believe the way some people treat their bikes
The polished frame and swing arm look great.
Cheers

I agree. Not normally a fan of polished frames and swing arms but it looks great with the black engine. Hope you have a lot of autosol to keep it looking that good! _________________ Pomps

the wrong mudguard. |
Sorry to be a bit of an anorak, but as oily pointed out , mudguard is off a YB11, which is not a bad thing, but for some reason the mounting legs are longer than that of any other model, and it looks like the forks are early sb6 ones with the cast caliper mounts which would take the 40mm brembo calipers and with the mudguard mounted to the caliper bolts.Just trying to save you time when the the 'B*astard thing' want fit later on.
Having said that, what a find and glad to see you rebuilding one of the best Bimota's ever. Shame you will never ride those Honda things again
Only joking, NICE line up !! |

I now realize the fender is from a YB11. I'll add it to my growing pile of 'yes, it's SB6' pile.
I had a few Nortons and use an auto finnish called 'Liquid Glass' on polished alloy. It's not cheap, goes on like wax, but 10 coats keeps the oxidization away for a year or two.
I have a few Hondas, VF1000R and NS400R as well as a NSR250 (MC28).
I also just got a YB7, nice bike with 2500km. |
