Hi all of you Very Happy

I have just been offered a great deal on a Leo Vince sbk exhaust system for my yb9sri.

Does anybody in here have any experiance about changing out exhaust.

The main reason to change the exhaust is that I want the sound, weight, and to put the exhaust up to the saddle. To get a better look.

My main concern is that it will not run as good as before. And I dont know if it is possible to remap the ecu so it will run better. Or if it is needed?

Or should I just put it on and drive like before?

hope you understand what I mean.

brgds

Probably not BUT...........
Fit it, ride it and then you will know if it works or if it needs a dyno session Wink

Ok. I will do that:-) but do you think it is possible to use a dyno to adjust it? the original motor had carbs. The fuel injection is made by bimota. thanks for the quick reply Smile

still worth a try but I thought it was for the 600 motor, not a 1000... I am sure the mechanics on site will be better able to explain the difference varying back pressures from different size exhausts can do to an engines performance.

Hi Pomp,

No the exhaust is for a 1000cc. It is brand spanking new and still in a box. The listing price in Denmark is 5500 DK and that is about 625 GBP and I can get it for 250 GBP.
So I thought it would be worth a try. But not if I had to spend 4-500 GBP on getting it on a dyno and programmed.
Thats is why I wanted to hear if any of you guys had any experiance with this.

Well, I believe its better to allow more airflow then less but there are lots of other factors that I dont feel qualified to comment on but I am sure Oily or Evilchicken will have an answer. I would imagine it may need more air coming in the other end and would run the risk of being to lean without a remap or a powercommander dialed in? If there is no time restraint then you are wise to seek proper advise. Good luck.

I confess if it was me i would get it. If it works , great. If it doesn't at that price you would probably make a profit selling it on auction! Wink

There's only one way to find out if it works..............
Buy it, fit it, ride it Wink

As pompey says, if it doesn't work, make it work or sell it on. Should make a tidy profit Wink
