well went to see how the sb6 was getting on , and yes it was the same as oily"s, bits of clutch eveywhere, took loads of pictures with the phone only to find that when i got home the pictures were fogged up doh!!!,then i get the wife moaning that the boilers not working, well when i get the bill hopefully that will be three things lmol. Reason was, cause i didnt use it, and the plates got stuck together and when i did start it up it shredded the plates .nothing like learning the hard way !!!! £££££ Hopefully i should get the old girl back in a couple of days as the clutch took 3 days to be delivered. gaz |

At least it's sorted
The reason they "shread" is because they are aftermarket. Never known it happen to genuine plates
Moral of the story is....................No, not ride it more ...Sell it to me |

Yeah i'm guessing mine will be the same too when i pull it down. My SB6 sat unregistered in a guys living room for 3 years before i bought it. I thought it might have just been shitty oil at first so i flushed the crankcase and changed the oil and filter. What a waste of $120! I'll be pulling it down in the next month or so i recon.
Glad to hear you're getting yours sorted. _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |
