The chances of finding a MPH speedo is slim, You could always get a MPH face printed and swap out the KPH face.

http://www.newtacho.de/

As for the price........
A local dealer has one up for sale at £6500 Shocked
Opinion says it's between £1k and £2k overpriced. I know of three people (myself included) who would buy it in a heart beat for £5k
It's got less than 1500 miles on the clock and is mint. There's one for sale in Germany at £9000 ish, but generally about £4k to £5k for a really tidy example.
Good luck Wink

Welcome to the forum. Don't worry about the price, buy the one that oily is talking about. It looks to be in real good nic looking at the photo's and as oily says less than 1500 miles on it. There's one for sale in Austraila at he moment for $20k Laughing

Cheers,
Brian

Welcome to the forum - Haggle on the price but it's up to you, if it's what you want then it's what you want.

MPH speedo's can be found
You can fit a mechanical KMH / MPH converter for about £30, Motrax make them, but you'll need to know how much clearance there is at the back of the clocks (for a Blue one) or at the wheel's speedo drive (for a Gold one). You'll keep the original parts but the clock will just read in MPH. The only drawback is the needle won't have the original "sweep" and smaller incrments are a bit harder to read.

Must admit, they're getting really hard to find.
Soon be a case of see it, buy it no matter what the price.

If you want a DB or YB then there's always a selection for sale at moped prices but this last 18 months very few SB6's have come up for sale and the ones that have appeared for sale have been snapped up.

Now if you want a 6R streetfighter.....give me a shout Laughing

If you want to go the KPH to MPH converter, there's loads of room

Just remember to make a note of the mileage (KPH) when you fit it so you can calculate total mileage, services etc Wink

I may be able to help out on the MPH face. I have a MPH speedo and I need a KPH face. If it's not too hard of a job, we could swap. I think they made a movie about this!!!

Hi all,
Iv been looking at this SB6. Yes I think its a little on the steep side but I have been looking on and off for the past 5 years, and not found a nicer one.
My only worries are that its been sat on a plinth as a show pice and not run. I supose at the end of the day its only a water boiler GSXR (no offence). so I presume it shouldnt be too much trouble to get it fired up. Plugs oil etc.
What about batteries etc. Are they fairly standard?
Anything that I should be looking for to be included with sale, covers etc???
Any input would be very apreciated.

Many thanks,

Si...........

Or are you going to sell me one of yours oily. Razz

Hi Oily
There is very little movement on the asking price.
Iv been up sice 3am thinking about this. Its a lot of cash. But when will I find another???
Im sure I will get all the info I need on servising from here and OSS.
Yes it is a bit nice, but these things were built to be ridden. I hate seeing bikes kept as investment items etc.... Some of the things Iv seen on OSS, with 10 miles on etc..
Poor bikes, never been loved, its got less than 1200 kilometers on the clocks. The tires anrt even fully scrubbed in. But Im sure you have poped over and taken a look.

Si..
