It can be very painfull waiting for the day that a new bike turns up (or you pick it up). I know, i've done it twice in the last 6 months, both bimotas. I could think of nothing else for weeks! But what a feeling when the day finally arrives Laughing

Yeah there's something about these bimotas. I've owned bikes all my adult life but have never really spent this much time looking at a bike. I often sit in the shed and just look at them. 'Most' places that you look on the bike just oozes craftsmanship. The hand milled billet aluminium is a work of art and thing of beauty. That exhaust note stirrs something deep inside me. Those curves are so sensual....

Oh no, now i'm getting all teary... time to go and flog the living shit out of this thing Twisted Evil Laughing

first impressions:

The sound

The seat

The speed (impressive, I had a GSXR1100 back in the day and I'm sure it was nothing like this.. I'll soon have it outrunning the 600s and biting at the 1000s heels)

The handling (on an 18 year old bike, wow! Understeers a bit tho')

The white finger (vibrates a bit doesn't it)

The grin in finally riding it..

Oh, and running it low on fuel makes it unhappy, and it does seem to like a drink.

Handy having a 'racetrack' on the doorstep, can't believe how well it went round the Verandah...

any recommendations for tyres (the Michelin Pilot Sports it currently wears seem a little unforgiving)?

What fun...
