Yes, aluminium of course Wink
Never gave it much thought, could of saved next to no weight at all by carving it out of titanium Laughing

I thought the first one was cute and only replaced it because it had started to perish.
I think it was from a genuine Bimota factory door Laughing

you need to mount it on a plinth as i believe they are extremely rare these days and command a premium from disconcerting buyers......... Laughing

.....Quite day at oily's cave, raining outside, waiting for people to phone me back Shocked looks like I've got a couple of hours to spare then Laughing .....

.The Mk1 crescent has been on the bench with it's fairing off for a couple of weeks now without any progress and it may soon be going to a new home so it needs to come off the bench, into the corner with a sheet over it but first a couple of little jobs that have been offending me.......

...first, chocolate blocks on the indicator leads....really?...

...soon sort those out. Soldered joints, heat shrink and extend them a bit so they are easier to connect up.....

...job done Wink

Next up, clutch hose is routed wrong. Catches on the fairing when the bars are turned Crying or Very sad ......

...off with the top yoke to make things easy.....

....re route the hose around the outside of the fork leg.....

and replace the top yoke with loads of copper grease on the bolts...
while we're at it, the reservoir cap bolts really offend me......

...so we better have some nice stainless replacements

Wink ......

...that's enough for this one, off the bench and get stuck into the ex-race project Wink

Cool
