I'm looking for a round 'b' frame cover for the db4 /3.

Also looking for any literature/ books on the db4 - workshop manual, owners manual, Paoli manual, parts manual.

Also looking for 2 x bimota tool kits (db4 / sb6), probably the same? And a bimota rear stand for db4.

Also looking a couple machined washers that go on the fairing screws of the sb6.

Thanks in advance,
Brian

Can't help you with anything DB but SB fairing washers...........
How desperate are you?
I've got to turn up a few for myself. Seems every time I turn a batch for me, Someone else wants them.
Can you wait till I post the frame protectors? otherwise the postage will cost more than the washers I suspect.
How many are you needing?

Hey oily, i'm in no hurry as i've made up some dodgy washers for the interim. I'll take you up on the offer if it's not too much trouble. I was going to go to a local machine shop and get some made if i couldn't buy them. It would be cool to have them specialy made by 'the sb6 man' Wink I only really need 2 but i'll take a set of 6 if i can get them.

Cheers,
Brian

Hi Brian, I do have a DB4 Genuine Workshop manual, but evidently would like to keep it. I do intend though on running off a few copies. Its a bugger to copy though as its a 4 ring lever arch file, and they have pull out sections that are A3 pages folded in half and then stapled together so I have to dissasemble to get them copied. Still looking for a DB4 owners manual myself. Have you received the DB4 Sales Brochure yet?

I'll keep a lookout for the other bits for you also

Brian,
drop an email to Bob Steinbugler at Bimota Spirit:
http://www.bimotaspirit.com/info.html

he's in the USA, in North Carolina.
He sold me a DB4 parts manual on CD, and was in the process of scanning a DB4 workshop manual when I visited.

He might have some of the other stuff too.....I think he has the remnants of the various US Importer(s) parts stash.

Hi Steve, sounds like a lot trouble to copy the manual... but if you are going to copy it anyway, I'd love a copy thanks. I don't have much to offer in return other than a bed and a ride on my bikes on some great roads should you ever decide to visit the bottom end of the world.

I haven't received the brochure as yet but it does take quite a while for the carrier pigeons to get down here.

Cheers mate

Hi Brian, courtesy of another off the Forum I now have a DB4 workshop manual (Bimota) in an emailable format, so don't go rushing off to buy one on CD as I'll email it to you in possible 6 chunks as the last time I tried emailing large files to you they bounced back, as apparently you only have the ability to receive small loads..... Laughing

As others have said, its useful for some stuff but nothing to do with the engine other than oil change. I do have a Ducati 900SS manual on CD rom and may be able to break it down in chunks for emailing. I also have a Ducati 900SS '91 to '97 Haynes manual which would certainly have the carb settings in it and should be able to scan and email. Flatslides would be the way to go, had a go on Vorts DB4 Corse with the '39's and corse can and K&N's, a world of difference for sure, a blind man (if he could ride) would swear they were completely different bikes, but that Ohlins rear is well solid!!
DeeBee on here converted his tricolor to flatslides, by heating and pressing the petrol tank to clear the snail cam throttle assembly on the left side of the Keihins, sounds tricky though Rolling Eyes
Let me know when the brochure tunrs up otherwise I'll put a claim in on the post

What size doc is the manual? I should be able to receive fairly large emails as i received an 11MB email last week with photo's and pretty sure i've received larger emails too.

When did you send the brochure? I'd give it a couple weeks as mail seems to take for ever to get to me. We have to go to the post office to pick up our mail too and sometimes it may be 3 days or so between trips.

I should get off my arse and go to the shed and pull those carbs off!

Cheers
Brian

Thought i may have found the bits i was looking for but it turned out to be a scam. It didn't look legit right from the start. Here's my email conversations with said scumbag. (i appolagize for the language in the last one).

scumbag - I can help out with the stated item(s) you are looking to purchase.
Let me know if you are still searching for the stated Item(s). What's
your phone number?

Andrew
44 Church Street Blackpool, Lancashire FY1 3PB, United Kingdom

me - I'm in Australia so it may be easier to comunicate via email rather than phone. Can you tell me what parts you have and how much you want for them? Thanks and regards,
Brian

scumbag - Hello Brian

Thanks for writing. Yes I still have an original DB4 round 'b' frame
cover and an original owner/workshop Bimota manuals in excellent shape
and condition. I'm asking 300GBP and I will be shipping via UPS or
FedEx on a 3 - 4 working days delivery and will accept payment via
Western Union as my paypal is currently dormant. What's your complete
shipping address?

Many thanks again and regards,

Andrew

me[b] - it has to be paypal.

scumbag - I'm sorry but my paypal is currently dormant.

me - What colour is your 'b' cover? The one that i'm looking for is red and i
haven't been able to find one yet.

scumbag - Really? Sound like you found one ! I have one in red and another in black.

me - Might be my lucky day! Most of them had 3 mounting bolts but some of the early ones were mounted with 4 bolts. I'm looking for the 3 hole one. I hope your red one has 3 holes?

scumbag - Yes it has 3 mounting holes and I think it will just be perfect for you. If this is okay, please advise your complete shipping address and I will e-mail details for payment via Western Union.

me - I don't have a western union account unfortunately. I have a friend not far from Lancashire. I could get him to pick it up and pay cash?

scumbag - It would have been nice to deal with you in person if you were local. Again, I don't deal with third parties as my friend was robbed dealing with someone a buyer directed to his house. However, you don't need to open an account with Western Union before you can send payment so no worries. Let me know and we'll go from there.

me - Ok. Let me know how to transfer the money. Will i be able to track the
package once shipped?

scumbag - Hello Again Brian, I'll need your complete shipping address to enable me check on nearby Western Union in your Area where you can easily transfer the money and again I'll e-mail to you a tracking number and other shipping information once payment is confirmed. Let me know where to ship?

me - Ok here's my address -

FUCK OFF.

Why don't you go and get a real job instead of trying to scam inocent people you low life piece of fucking shit. You know why the 'RED 3 HOLE 'b' CAP' is so hard to find... it doesn't exist fuck wit.

I hope you get ripped off by one of your low life scamming fuck wit mates and then get locked up for life.

I've passed your email address on to the authorities.

Hi Brian, nice one in sorting out that fellow, I hope he wasn't really from Blackpool as it brings a bad/worse name to my Northern Bretheren and myself.
Try not to get carried away in your rush, but your desires are being met at the moment (should always be able to trust a fellow Bim Forum Enthusiast) A consignement of 4 frame plugs are being sourced and sent, I know you asked for 2, one to replace and one as a spare, and yes these are the silver alloy, 50mm O/D Bimota Logo'd Frame plugs held by a small grub screw allen key headed, 3mm I believe (god how sad the Sh one T you hold in your head) A list of other spares available is also being compiled as you were after a DB4 owners handbook and a leather fob also so we are asking after these also. Prices seem most reasonable compared to the scammers, I'd love to charge half that price but wouldn't as it should be far less. And of course you would be able to use your new "paypal" account

Its strange you should lose the top frame plug as the grub screw that holds it in place, tight agains a groove on the frame plug, screws in from the top, so even if it comes lo0se it wouldn't fall out. Whereas the bottom "b" frame plug has a fixing screw that screws from the underside and if it comes loose it evidently it would fall out. I now have to check my grub screws to see if they are tight. PS All coutest of another "sound" member on the Forum, no credit for myself please
