|
|
I am looking for a set of bodywork that requires restoring / paint ... or a lead to a company making these panels?
Also, a gas tank solution is needed if anyone has solved this problem for new fuel? Or, is anyone making a replacement?
Thanks for your help and Happy New Year to all!!!

Rolf,
Your english is perfect ... and so is this information.
Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge and providing me direction.
Should you find yourself in New York, I would gladly buy the pints. Happy and healthy New Year!!!

Duncan,
American, 3rd generation New Yorker too. Almost makes me a Brit!
New York has a Marlborough too. Are you English or New Yorker? ...haha
England is a beautiful place, its been too many years since my last visit. One of these years I'd like to see the Isle of Man too.
Happy New Year,

it was the " buying pints" that made me think you may be english but then NY and Boston have that pub culture to I guess. I am Scottish although I grew up in England due to unfortunate circumstances. I have lived and worked in the states on and off for last ten years and truth be told would rather be living there! _________________ Pomps

I've lived in Brisbane and traveled enough to know a pint is the more accepted internationally title for a beer ... Where have you lived in the US? Hope you get back to this area soon. _________________ Have a wheelie nice day!!! |

Hi Steve,
Funny meeting you here! Happy and healthy New Year. Thanks for the compliment on the DB1, looking forward to getting it out of the garage and fired up.
The DB1 frame is rolling with a 1996 944cc 11:1 motor with 41mm Kheilin carbs. I need to build a new swing arm for the rear cylinders exhaust and there is still a bit of machining needed. The Japanese gas tank is $2,000us plus shipping ... may need to make the tank.
Glad to know you are making the bodywork.
Speak soon.
Best,

Guys, Just some info that might help. The DB1s that were imported into the UK were sold with an aluminium tank rather than the standard plastic item due to the construction regs over here. I believe the importer was Steve Wynn. I know for a fact that if anyone over here that owns a DB1 would be willing to have their tank drawn up for manufacture they would cost a lot less than $2000.... Anyone know who made the original tanks? |

it's a 'new' like original unpainted fender, starting price 15 euros.
he's also got 2 fairings, street and track versions, will discuss the price based on the new price of 1400 Euros.
he doesn't say if the fairings are new or used, painted or unpainted, including monocoque or not, price for both or 1 ? ? ? ?

If you have a language barrier or need someone to repack and send to you, let me know. I can probably help.

Just look at the photos on the inside and you will notice 2 layers (past repairs) of fiberglass mesh. Not even a nice job.
