Evidently most boxes look the same, but I think I've seen that particular box. You could probably sell that piece of plywood on ebay, postage would be a bugger though
How do you get on with Import duties over there? Are the Tax boys pretty clued up? Could you say it was a 50cc italian moped worth buttons? Must be hard for them to evaluate a Bimota, its not like they are all the same price or you can reference a book. Unless of course if its a brand spanking new one??? |

Now that is a wondrous thing
Can't wait for Bimota to bring out something with a big, non V twin motor.
Would love to have a box like that under the Christmas tree _________________ SB6 mk1 (project mega light, big bore)

The word "Bimota" should suffice, doing what they do best, innovative striking, stunning and drop dead gorgeous, the odd faux pas occassionally, but then when you aim for perfection mistakes will occur |

I know what your trying to say and sort of agree with you but, and let's face it, there's always a but.............

it's a little more than occasionally...

but those mistakes should be rectified BEFORE they are released to the public....especially at those prices.
That said, what would I do with my spare time if Bimota's were designed and built by Germans or Japanese and not Italians _________________ SB6 mk1 (project mega light, big bore)

Oh I couldn't agree with you more, and as you say theres always a "But" but, theres not many of us on the Forum that pay "those prices" ie buy a brand new one, what would be the fun in that? Unfortuantely with practically anything Italian there are always flaws and mistakes that are allowed for the sake of style and aesthetics, Bimota, Ducati, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, MotoGuzzi, Morini, Lancia, Alfa Romeo.....Can anyone name one Italian manufacturer new or old that isn't reknowned for issues?
And for Bimota theres always been the pressure of releasing models before full testing due to onset of Bankruptcy and evidently the high end pricey manufacturers always suffer in downturns in the economy
At the end it comes down to simples, would you rather all those manufacturers were still around, or folded due to trying to make products right before release, like the japanese ( I wouldn't include the Germans as yet as they also have their own issues, Mercedes, BMW etc at present..)
High end i.e costly Manufacturers seem to be able to get away with faults, as most are sold to the priveleged few that can afford them, and either don't ride or use, and if they do, they invariably would pay others to rectify. Evidently not everyone, but 95% I would say, and they will return time after time. Sulatan of Brunei has over 1000 vehicles, including 6 Bimotas, bet he never rides them let alone changes the oil |

Glad you like it guys, this won't be a garage queen and will get ridden as much as I can, and I have no intention of ever selling it, when the times comes it will be moved into the house (where it should live anyway, stupid women not letting me keep it inside) |
