Just done the deal,
Slung a depoit on it and just waiting for funds to clear.
With some luck it will be in my hands by next week end.

Well done Si.....got one in the end
I'm quite liking the non original paint job
Got to ask your self why one of the last SB6's has had a paint job and later sb6R footrest hangers
Those things wouldn't bother me so if you need to unload it quickly.......wink, wink _________________ SB6 mk1 (project mega light, big bore)

You aint getting anotherone just yet.
The paint is a little gairish, its almost a dayglow orange, but very nicely done. The guy who origionaly had it had it painted in their colours. And was looking to buy it back.
I wouldnt have noticed the hangers, but Im not a washer counter (no offence ment).
Shame its such a long bank holiday and will take so long to move the cash.
Will be asking advice on suspension setup soon.
Cheers,
Si.. |

Suspension set-up.........Pompey
No offence taken, never counted a washer in my life
I love to deviate from the original if only to upset the purists

It's a bit Italian flag meets dayglo, but nice though.
I'd say the footrest hangers are SB6, the 6R has the change rod going through the hanger the 6 goes behind _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

Hangers are 6R......6 hangers are solid...6R hangers have the middles cut out so the gear change rod can pass through
This 6 has had the hangers replaced with 6R hangers OR it's a parts bin special which is quite possible with Bimota _________________ SB6 mk1 (project mega light, big bore)

Mine had those hangers and gearchange. I saw a 6R but the rod went through the hanger. I've seen some of the earlier 6's with solid hangers but equally they're not exclusive _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

Nice one SyBag, and I note that you live in Cheshire, so whereabouts? Once you get it taxed. MOT'd and fettled you will have to give us a shout as there a4 of us in this area of "Middle England" and we meet up from time to time so it would be good to see each other. We still hold the "record" for the most British Bims all together at one time on this Forum, although only a lowely "4" that I suppose Oily now qualifies for that equally all on his own
Mind you this is also equalled by another on here in "middle England" but is soon to be surpassed by another Middle Englander taking his tally to a staggering "5", so be warned, ownership can seem to expand somewhat |

Nice bike, congratulations.
I think its beautiful tail light, it gives me a few ideas , mine is not original so I'm looking for a replacement. I also want to change the rear fender. The original is not aerodynamically approved , I think.
On to the drawing board....and do some mathematics calculations..
