Yep, you'd be much better off heading to the Midlands than heading east Wink

I'm always popping over to Chester and you've some great country lanes round Winsford, tend to meet up at the cafe opposite the River Dee in the centre of town, near the suspension footbridge. I'll give you a shout next time I'm heading over

Crying or Very sad cant do it, still got the kids. Bugger, though they did enjoy the practice sessions today for bsb at thruxton. Go figure, 6 year old girls who prefer bikes to barbies!

Picked it up today.
Not impressed by the handling the previouse owner had sofened the back end up. No oil change in the past 4 years etc,
So iv spebt the day fighting with the fairing, Oil change, new oil filter.
Prelode back to about 150mm
Snaped a fairing bolt so had to drill and re-tap that.
Air filter cleabed and oiled.

Question Time,
the ride hight, Im presuming that I can adjust the rear ride height by adjusting the length of the shock,
Not sure of the linkage, So is it shorter shock length raises the back end or is it the otherway about?

Ill be heading over to the raven cafe for about 10is, just need to dive it a wash to get the oily fingermarks off first,

Other way round. unscrew the adjustment. the more thread you see the greater the ride height. You said you had pre load back to 150 mm? What static sag have you got? What are the feelings you get from the front end?

I'll reset the ride height and let you know about the front.
At present (only dome 30 miles morrway) the back end felt very soft and didnt give confidence).
Not happy at low speed rounderbounts, but I think thtas more to me not knowinhg the enginge. On off throtttle. just need the confidence to push it in to a corner. Miss matched tryres, so that may be an isue. Brirstone battalax front, not worn triangular, and good Dunlop hyports rear.
Wound the steering damper all the way off. need to have a ride and will know more in the morning.

Thanks for the imput.
At the moments I can rire my CCM R30 quicker in the corners.
Wimp I know lol.

And so the love hate releationship starts.
Rolled the bike out the garage this morning, thought thats strange the front brake is a bit spongy. Hmm whats that brake fluid leaking from a line.
Then it struck me. when tightening a fairing bolt near the + terminat on the batery. I inadvertantly shorted an alenkey between the batery + reminal and a brake line.

Ahhhhhhhhggggggg lokslike the short has melted a small hole in the brake line. So NO playtime this weekend.

So need to get a replacement line, then bleed the system. Woohoo.
Bims eh...
