For sure- the j belt tyres on my busa used to give a nice predictable slip on its ear whilst hot on the pace, leaving darkies on my local large smooth roundabout, whereas , when there was a shortage of these( 1500 miles to a rear), i fitted rennsports, brilliant, one little slip when cold on its ear then solid, but when i put the pirellis on( supercorsa race) , not the same:(. Unfortunatley, that ended the busas life as a massive highside resulted in a wright-off, hence im not a fan off pirellis, was dissapointed when the peg came with them, and still gave the same feeling of unsecurity unless the weather was warm and dry! Hence the storms( which id had on my bandit aswell ,prior),the wing loves metzelers, believe me after 87 thou miles ive had em all and id opt for metz on her any day! But the R1 liked her dunlops, although they were loose at high speed!

The rear is a Dunlop Sportmax GP
The Front is a Bridgestone.

Think I will sling a scrubbed Sportsmax GP on the front and see how that works.

Use to be a big fan of Metzler, have been running Super Corsa on my CCM supermoto, and they have been very good.

some good advice there Pomps, have been out trying different things at the weekend and the smooth sweeping arc on the power definitely gets you round the corner better than the modern bike's brake, turn, squirt method...

I think a little bit more compression on the rear might help on the understeer (which I've almost cured) when powering out and negate the need for dropping the front a bit...

don't know about the bim but I certainly got dizzy! 250 miles over an 11 mile stretch!!!! Pre-season testing! Laughing

Did go for a run to Peel as well, tho....
