I finally managed to get the DB2 out yesterday.
Needed to go over to Bad Nauheim, just 30 km away- which is the perfect distance to check that everything is in working order.

Also another chance to try out the Go pro camera that I bought last year.
Clever little thing- sticks on the tank top or wherever you would like to stick it Rolling Eyes

I did this with the 'open' back on the camera case- next time I'll use the closed 'waterproof' back which should cut out wind noise

I'm quite impressed with the result- very wide angle lens- ordered the 'bacpac' display which can be clipped on- so you can actually see what you are filming or going to film.
If you put it on full screen and stretch out your arms- you can pretend to be be riding the bike Laughing

Seems a lot faster than it actually is too.

That is NOT my rusty Corsa- but the washing machine van is ours Cool

That's the Eiche (oak) hotel across the road, behind the . . . oak tree.

sorry you get to see a bit of my boat too- don't have an editing software.
I carried on filming after getting petrol but it's very long with only a couple of short blasts before I hit the town.

This is probably all very boring- I've only watched it about 38 times today.

I promise to try and improve my film making skills.

get out the popcorn and enjoy: 10 minutes of dawdling

Cheers for that Cranky, gives me a free ride on your DB2 and an "imaginary" one for when its cold and raining over here. Jealous as hell at all your clear seemingly empty roads, what was that only 3 vehicles that you came across??
Whats the exact make and model of that GoPro and what price are they?

did you notice there were at least 3 silver Ford Fuccasses on the road spoiling my day?

Also that truck changed down 2 cogs when I overtook him- the cheek!

Go pro motorsports it's called- 250euros or whatever that is in your quaint old fashioned coinage, I got a good deal on 'bay (of course, is there a smiley for yawning?)

I have padded the Go pro itinery with an additional battery so I can be out all day, a 32 Gbite card for long takes- 2 hours plus, the bacpac display came today so I can see what I'll be filming and an in car (cigarette lighter) battery charger- so other people can also be out with me all day.

glad you enjoyed it.
I'll give it a bit more stick next time- looks much faster than it was- turn it up to 11.

I'm glad that the thing does what it says.
and very sadly I watch the film constantly.
reminds me of a friend who played video games- driving a Honda CRX around Nurburgring- when he had a CRX outside the flat and the 'ring just 2 hours away Embarassed

An old friend of Brigittes is a pro film maker and we're planning to go out next month and make some very 'smooth' films of everything that moves: DB2, Hailwood, 851 and the Clubman- what more fun can you have?
well I mean in public Laughing

yeahhhhhhhhh
and all that
Ian

you will be going there, exactly that road leads to Schotten and it's not the best part.

look foward and enjoy, I am.

torn between going out and having fun and having doing 'necessary' things.

necessary things it is then- bum.

always amused me, the confusion over good "old english" words such as whet (probably derived from whetstone) and the fact that these young whipper-snappers were never taught them in school because they never went to school Laughing

I think you will find that "whet" is the correct spelling for the word I used in my reply.
You can't "wet" an appetite - you "wet" a thirst Very Happy

bottom of the class (again) for you, Pomps. Very Happy
