After giving this some thought and not taking anything away from your very neat and sensible mod Vince............

Prior to Sibags misfortune with this fuse, I have never heard of one blowing before and..... even if Si was able to replace this fuse, it would probably have re-occurred with the bare wire problem.
After mentally, risk assessing the fuse problem I'll give it a miss (until it happens again Laughing )

It did happen to Vince and Sibag. Thats 2. On a ratio of bikes produced to failure then for any jap bike it would be a percentage big enough for recall! Shocked

It didn't happen to Vince (?) his mod is a precautionary measure to eliminate his worst nightmare occurring, or have I missed something?

I agree with the recall. Bimota should re-call all SB6's and have a second crack at designing/building them properly with more quality components

The fuse is not blown up on my sb6.
But, I'm afraid that a curse on me there, I have often seen the main fuse blows on my older motorbikes.Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

And yes.... There is always a cause, but I'm faster now where I should look for the problem. Rolling Eyes

I can not sleep if I do not know what is wrong... Confused Smile

Sometimes I don’t sleep at all. Wink

Thats a nice little mod Vince.
I may have to get some connectors etc ordered,
And it sounds like it may have happened to evilchiken ??

I didnt even know the fuse existed untill I trawled this site.
It is a dumb location. But I suppose they wanted to put it near the item they were fusing as it quite a heafty fuse.

very intresting mod. Wink

Me too I'm a bit scared of the electric harness of this bike. Quite confusional with wire colors mixed up, batterie(s?) located where only a drug addict could place them... radiator fan so close to exaust pipes...

bah, italians! Very Happy
