Are you sure its not because you don't want a Pink Bmota? Can't believe that someone asked the question whether it was an original colour or note, I mean, seriously, the Italians would make a pink Motorcycle?? |

If I were to get it for me, I'd have to repaint it to yellow. 
The pink/purple would look good next to my wife's silver/pink GSXR-750...
It's supposed to have pink wheels, too, but the previous owner painted them black.

And quite rightly so, don't mind a bit of pink but all over? No thanks. Have you seen the Db4 for sale in the states, with the corse kit, 39 flatslides etc? I put a link up in the For sale section. Looks very clean, but reckon on a full checkdown strip and service looking at the colour of the fluids in the clutch and brake reservoirs . Or do you use Old engine oil for hydraulics in the States?

When it comes to colors, my wife is girly. Her favorite two colors are purple and pink.

Sometimes it seems that way. These Duc hydraulic clutch reservoirs turn dark very quickly.

Allegedly they can be cleaned out and fresh transparent fluid put back in, but it makes it harder to check if the levels OK
They really should start putting different colours of hydraulin fluids on the market, quite fancy some red, or perhaps green? Just full of these marketing Oppurtunities, Ducati boys would buy Red hydraulic fluid by the bucket load if it was on the market, look like little viles of blood,,,,Hhhmm wheres the number for the Patent Office? |

I've flushed mine until the fluid came out clear, and within 500 miles, it was dark, again....not black, but defintiely a medium brown color.

I know that if the brake lines start to break down or the seals in the pistons are on their way out you can get contamination from the brake lines themselves and dust/brake pad contamination in the fluids also. Thus I'm always a bit weary when I see Dark fluids. Mine have been in for 2 years now with new fluids and still the same colour and transparency, same brake lines as were on the bike but with new calipers, and pads front and rear. If the clutch one is the same colour I would say that its the lines that are breaking down.
I flush the fluids every 2 years as a minimum, and yearly drain from the resrvoir and refill. Just like to have good tyres and brakes, and all else is in the lap of the Gods as regards Motorcycles |

If that's the case, you've got some serious issues 
A sealed hydraulic system will be under pressure so if something leaks, it will be fluid coming out not dust going in
