Whoever told you that?
Keith (admin) keeps threatening to start a register/sticky page and then we'll maybe get a clue as to how common they are

It looks nice. Is that silver instead of white? would like to see under the frame protectors but worth a punt for someone... _________________ Pomps

That does look nice. It does look silver but i think it might just be the angle of the light hitting the bottom half of the bike? Either way it looks good.
The look of the frame protectors is starting to grow on me oily... _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

I had them on my last one. I'm buying them now for my next one and apart from looking ok they do give you peace of mind in that gravel carpark... _________________ Pomps

The closer I look the more I think it is silver... There is something odd looking about the fixings for the seat to the frame but the with photo's it is difficult to tell. Hope you are close enough to visit first?
You also posted at 1.30 am and we all know what kind of decisions are made at that time of night. _________________ Pomps

Hmm, indeed the seat and the part where it normally is bolt-on looks like it is welded or something i will ask for a close up of that location...
I have contacted the seller already for some more intell about service history, detailed pictures etc,
Too bad it is a 4,5 hour drive from here so a visit before buying is not an option...a bit risky, but germans are reliable ( when it comes to car and bikeS ). And about the time of my first post...there was no alcohol involved so no rush i just stick to the plan _________________ Ducati 750 SS café racer, BMW R nine T Cafe Racer, Husqvarna Vitpilen, KTM Rc8, Husqvarna Vitpilen 701, Bimota DB6 |

I think the body colour is silver and maybe the frame has been painted.
The seat bolts don't look standard and look a bit odd. It's a Mark 1 isn't it ??? _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

The more I look at it the more I think it may need a close inspection before a bid. I buy nearly all my bikes while I am away working so I'm the first to say I can be to trusting to sellers but I have been very lucky with them all apart from one.
If its had a respray its been done very well. If the frame has been sprayed I would walk away from it. If he frame is ok and the price is right I think you'll be fine... _________________ Pomps
