Think I could , if I wanted , get a new reg for the vdue, as it has never been registered , but going to go for an age related one I think

That's what i would go for , i would be happy with a 98 / 99 plate , after all it is when it was made .

Can't see it making any difference to the value of the bike having a 1998 number or 2012 as the log book will still say "first registered in the uk " and give the date .

Next round at the DVLA today in a few hours , have letter from Piero stating he know his stuff, is owner of Bimota Spa from liquidators and can verify my bike was produced in 1998, so that should be the last hurdle , hopefully.
This registering of bikes is fun !!

Oh what joy, got to the DVLA, went through paper work, Yep that's OK, paid my money and walked out a happy man.
24hr's later I get a call about my missing VOSA certificate, you must have taken it with you they told me, NO, checked, rechecked and checked again, no I dont have it. Turns out they were actually on about an MOT not the SVA ??
So the bike has a full sva test, wieghed, measured , pushed and prodded , everything tested and then still requires an MOT which only checks a fraction of the sva !!! Bloody government rules.
Took it to the mot station, they were more interested in just hearing it run. 4th time to the DVLA today and hopefully the last.

If you ever get bored of the relative ease and simplicity of the UK bureaucracy pop over to Spain for some real fun!

This is about bang on, and amused many Spanish too!

Whack a can of Wurths in the tank. Excellent stuff for cleaning carb jets and fuel systems in general Wink

Thanks oily will give it a go in the YB11 as well. Think it must be an idle jet as the cylinder runs when at 5000rpm but not down low, but will run OK if the chokes are on

Will try to find out about that rear disc this week , was waiting for answers on other bits , but all should be in now.
