Hi all, just received an sb8r, it's in great condition and well looked after by previous owner. Will get it on the bench and remove the bodywork etc and give it a good going over. Any of you sb8r owners any wise words on things to look out for on this particular model and any useful modifications. It has a power commander fitted, and it starts and idles well, previous owner stated that softer fork springs have been fitted along with an uprated chain and sprocket set.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Been there with the smart phone, bleeding things drive me nuts at times.
The bike is pretty tight, only issue have found is one indicator not working.
The bike was the one that was recently on ebay.

Am just removing all the body work, to check everything Ok, change out all fluids, check valve clearances, bearings etc. looks to have a fuel quick disconnect fitting next to idle screw, which I assume is not standard. Will try post some photo's as i go along.

Elec connector on right by shock res- make sure you dissconect, rear number plate holder / indicators off first- then onto exhaust cans ,Cans can come off without taking bracket to hump off, first remove carbon heatguards on pipes, then springs from downpipes in swingarm space then pipes after seperating from each other first( joining bolt)in between two pipes- should wiggle then pull up gently!Smile

Then tank- first take off top fairing- leave on mirrors and screen if u want, pull forward and off air lufts( carbon), check first for extra wires for extras !

Tank has one bolt by headstock- long one with cap, connector and quick release fuel line joint present on left! Now tank can lift back and up/ off. Be aware of all wires and relays , dont knock or move em about!, this now allows you to rear plug access! Front plug access can be got with care via battery box through forks etc!
