This is a great thread. It's really exciting to see someone happily dismantling and and tinkering with a piece of exotica!
Keep those detail shots of the unique Tesi components coming! I'm sure they are appreciated by the 'techie' and 'non-techie' types alike! |

Well nothing much new to report, everything is stripped and off to paint, everything else is being checked and cleaned and hopefully all will be ready for reassembly when body work etc come back.
All the alloys are in great condition and cleaning up well, and have finally found a use for that awful sb8r stand.

Small brackets etc back from powder coaters and new bearings for wheels/swingarms have arrived, Luckily no unusual bearings on this bike, everything easily sourced.
Main bodywork, wheels etc should be back from paint this month. |

Got the wheels, arms, and bodywork back today Everthing was done in 2pac by Davy from Paintbox; a great job and a better job than the original factory finish.
Still have to finnish the engine of, the barrels and heads have to be painted (usual lousy duc flaking paint) and a few shims need changing and once the engine is assembled, the rebuild can begin.

your not wrong, it will be in storage for a few years while i rotate my other bikes on a yearly run out and then I will decide, hopefully by then finding an insurance company to insure it won't be such a nightmare. |
