sounds most likley you have either glazed the bores when its was first "run-in" or not as the case may be or the hone on the bores is no good and has potentially damaged the oil scraper ring.............

Well.........we're still waiting for pictures Wink

your sb7 problems.....until the engines pulled apart (yet again) it's all speculation but as the steam seals have been replaced it's most likely a ring/bore issue and yes, you may have used a too good quality oil Crying or Very sad

your Kwacker problems........stick um on a kwacker forum Wink

A photo of the green meanie would be perfectly above board provided there's a bimota in the background Wink . I have a fondness for all things green, especially kwakas. Laughing

You have to host your images on line ... try opening a photobucket account. Upload your pics to an album, copy the "direct link" code. Then in the reply dialogue box hit the Img shortcut paste the link and press the Img* again.

That should do it.[/img]

Don't think I could afford the oil to get it all the way down there!!!!

Still hopefully have that fixed soon thanks to the Forum.

The sb6 has now got carbon dymags fitted - but I don't seem to have any photos of them and the bike is at the back of the garage - probably laid up for winter now!!!!
Cheers. Bob.

Just on using the sb6 - last time I took it to Assen it broke down!!! The cush drive between the engine and alternator ringed out. Had to take it trailered back. And there was me thinking the gsxr1100 engine was built-proof. Still managed to fix it without taking out the engine.

Oily - your post about the long bolts touching the engine - guess the answer is such to add a washer or two??
