Hello,
Intend to restore a second set af fairings to my db2 to the original tricolore colour scheme.
Questions:
1) any advice on where to find the original NCS codes of the colours
2) any advice on where to find the original stencil for the tricolore colour scheme
3) any advice where to find original bimota and db2 sticker fo the fairing

Appreciate any advice and hints from anyone having done anything similar

Cheers,
Piso

hi Piso

you can get Bimota colour matches here:

http://www.rsbikepaint.com/de-de/colours.php#makeid=16&modelid=953&prodyear=1994

they only do red/white for the DB2, but there is a green available for the DB1- maybe it's a good match?

My DB2 tricolore has a solid (no metallic or pearl) white. The green is metallic and the red has gold coloured metallic particles in it.

There are differences in the lines of different tricolores- they were done by hand with no templates- often not symetrical !
I can make you some templates from my bike and send you- I used to be a motorcycle graphic designer . . .

stickers- no idea. Bimota logos from ebay, 'db2'- maybe need to get cut . .
good luck
Ian

Hello-I don't think the DB1 green is available any more from RS. I'm looking for a match myself,

just had another look, the DB1 green has gone, but they've got green metallic listed for the 1994 SB6 ! ?

worth a try.

Is the DB1 green metallic Mike?

Hello,

my DB1 has a green stripe along it (although being red/green colourblind maybe I'll have to check!)

the question doesn't read very well,

I didn't mean: is the DB1 green metallic?

I meant: is the green stripe on the DB1 metallic?

that's better.

Hello,

Oops, sorry, I see what you mean! yes, it's definitely metallic, rather than a 'pearl' finish like the white, although not a metal flake,

Cheers, MikeJ
