That looks like a very clean bike and may well be worth asking for more details and photo's. Price looks high but not too bad if its in as good condition as it seems. Its a great bike to own and ride. it would be well worth the effort if you want an SB6... _________________ Pomps

The bike looks very clean but I have never seen this colour and it isn't recorded in the Bimota history book I have.
6200 is a good price if it's really clean, I payed more for mine in Greece and it needed work, but in any case transport, customs and registering also costs money and ikes are generally more expensive in Greece. |

Hi,
There were indeed some SB6 bikes produced in a grey livery (only 22 I am led to believe). However looking at the various photos this one doesn't quite match Bimota's original colour scheme (lettering was in fact white not red), and the general appearance doesn't seem original either in terms of the grey and carbon. Still it looks OK from the photos and hasn't covered a high mileage, and if the pound/euro exchange rate was what it used to be, then the price would under normal circumstances seem quite reasonable (for someone living in the UK). The only problem that I know of with "European" bikes is the potential restrictions placed on power output. I have a friend who owns an imported SB6 that produces well under 100bhp simply due to the (difficult to reverse on a Suzuki apparently) engine power limitations. I'm therefore glad that we managed to stop this absurd proposal from becoming law in the UK in the 90's! |
