Mine came to me with a old Michelin 120/70/17 on it and I fitted a new Power 2ct 120/70/17 last and that was fine, I do sometimes hear the stones hitting the guard but no tyre rubbing Hope the new one is the same, What are others using 60 or 70??? _________________ Hursty from kiwi land |

I'm pretty sure the 120/ 60 was the original tyre on mine. When i bought it the bike only had 4200 klm's on it and the tyre was dated from that era. _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

I think with all the improvements in tyres since the SB6 was first made nearly 20 years ago different a sidewall height is not really a big issue, the last 70 tyre handled good so didn't think of changing sizes, anyway dropped off the matching rear today
And also picked up my new radiator neck with a modern cap
I do think you may be able to get the original cap if you chase it through the Karting shops as a Motor Guzzi engine may use them, but it was cheaper and quicker to just get a radiator repair guy to make up a new neck _________________ Hursty from kiwi land |

Nearly done
New plugs, oil and filter, Radiator leak sorted, New front tyre fitted, front brakes lines, pads, fluids check
Run up on the dyno checking for leaks plus small jetting change.
Soon back together and out for a ride weather permitting

New rear fitted
Headlights that work without blowing the fuse
One small thing that always bugged me was the rear brake lever was too high for me to cover while riding and although it has a nice cam adjuster there is not room for it to work.
So my mechanic is making an adjustment the lock nut is going and he has taken some material off the end as well.
So I won't know until its all finished but it should improve my fit on the bike. _________________ Hursty from kiwi land |

So finally picked her up
New hose on the rear brake master cylinder old one had a kink in it
Revised rear brake pedal position is better but taking a bit of getting used too
Stunning spring day for first ride to bed in new pads and scrub in new tyres
Now just need to ride it more _________________ Hursty from kiwi land |

Ahh yes it's definately summer here. I've bought my ticket for the 2015 round of wsbk at Phillip Island in February. Also booked my ticket on the ferry to Tasmania straight after the superbikes for a long awaited tour of the apple isle. _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

If you haven't been before, you'll love Tassie. Beautiful scenery and great roads all over the place.
It sounds like you could nearly hook up with Malcolm Campbells Tassie Motorcycle Tours. He's got a tour March 2-7. |
