Hi all,

My Bimota V-due has an led display dash which at the moment reads in KPH. It's capable of showing MPH but needs to be re-programmed. I know I can get it done in Italy, but this means either removing and posting (not methinks a good idea) or going to Italy with bike/part (good idea tricky at the moment). Question is does anyone know of anyone able to do the job over here ? Have e-mailed Piero in Italy to see if I can buy software/cables and that isn't possible.

Steve

Just a thought Steve,
There used to be a lot of people advertising in MCN about this very same thing. Don't know if you require dedicated software. The car racing community mess about with digital dash's all the time so that might be worth looking into and after market bike dash's, like acewell etc, are easily changed from kph to mph. Some one with the right know how shouldn't have a problem Wink

Bike still reads in KPH. would have had to send dash back to Piero in Milan to have it changed. My bike was already UK registered when I bought it, so I haven't had to do VOSA test, but since it doesn't matter for MOT, not sure why it would matter for VOSA. Couldn't find anyone in UK that could re program.

Steve , you have the details of the man in Milan, just so happens that the bike I am looking at is in Como, and he gets it serviced in Milan, probably at the same place. Can get the clocks done before it leaves Italy.

The multiply one ? Just had a look and yes it was covered, outcome seemed to be that to get one UK registered speedo needed to read in MPH. Still don't understand why, or indeed why mine clearly didn't.

Just spoke to the mechanic at NLM, they were the Bimota importer for a few years 2003 about 2008.
Anyway, they have software and leads for the bikes of that time, and the SB8K had the same dash. Now they have never had to do it as the bikes came to them with MPH set, but they don't see any reason why they can't do it.
They will need the bike and the dash though, as they connect into the bike ecu.

Barstewards! That's where I bought my v-due from, they never offered to change it to MPH. Oh well, maybe a trip over there is called for. Thanks for the info
