So, here's a shot of my attempt at a modern version of a Rob North trident...

Its my speed triple. I put clip ons to help make it more usable with my old knackered back and thought I would go the whole hog and turn it into a big lump Triumph sports bike as they haven't bothered. Its being sprayed as I type...

Going to mount the original 2 round headlights out in front of the nose as the old endurance bikes did. Bit retro so hopefully works?

Here's the inspiration :

Yep, that'll work if you get some colour on the fairing.
Alternatively, no lights and a daytime MOT for that real racer look Wink

I would fit a small pair of unobtrusive, projector lights.

I like that a lot.
just been to Glemseck cafe sprint- this would have looked good there.

I liked the first speed triple most because it had clip ons.

but the fairing really tops it off- nice one Pompey.

I loved that first bike to. Really, really heavy but smooth engine and comfy ride, had one for years. Did you watch the triple challenge cup? Looked like slow motion racing but very competitive and crashes everywhere!

I painted the fairings satin black like the bike last night, I'll fit it today and take her for a spin. It will be interesting to see if top speed is improved? She is plenty fast enough but runs out of gas around 140. I'll let you know... Very Happy

here is the quick spray in satin black. might keep it as such until the winter then consider a special all over pro paint job with old triumph racing blue white and black?
