Bike Paints near you, made a lovely job of my Superlight side panel
Yes MOT'd my 999 the other week, as it appeared dry. Wrong pissed down for most of 100 miles and missed fired. plugs in the front coil/plug cap is a common issue _________________ 03 YB11, 03 Aprilia RSVR Edwards, 94 Ducati Superlight III, 95 Honda NC30, 04 Ducati 999S, 91 kawasaki KR1-S C2, 91 Ducati 851 USD Strada, 89 ZXR750H1, 90 ZXR400H1, 205 16v Rally Car, A6 2.7TDI Avant, STM R1 engined Phoenix |

I'm back....again!
I haven't been in here for over a month. I kept putting it off because I wanted enough time to read through all the old posts that I'd missed. The more time went by, the more posts, the more time required to read them all.
I've been a very bad motorcyclist and Bimota owner. I haven't touched a bike since June. I haven't had the motivation and the wife still isn't in any position to ride, yet. She's almost done with rehab from her accident back in March, and now is thinking of waiting until we get warmer weather in the spring. In the meantime, she took her first flight in a small airplane this past Friday and loved it. We are talking about maybe both of us getting our pilot's licenses and buying a plane. She also rode a horse this past Sunday, which was the first time since her disabilitating accident in 2003. She's been tickled silly for the last week every time she thinks about flying or riding the horse. She's supposed to go look at a horse that she may buy tomorrow.
I haven't written another word in her book. I haven't touched it since July, and its just sitting there with about 120 pages. I haven't really done any more recreational painting, either. I've mostly just been working and drinking beer.
I still have not looked at my Bimota's starting issue. Shamefully, it's been sitting like that for 11 months. I've just gotten tired of constantly having fix crap around the house and have been taking a sabbatical. _________________ Look for my books...

Aha, welcome back. Dont buy a plane! If it flies, floats or f:^&%ks ... rent it!
Fair one one the horse front though... wish i had the time, and location to have one myself.
Nice to have you back! _________________ Pomps

Yeah, i've been pretty slack with the forum lately too. I was awy for over a month on a bike trip and have been struggling to catch up on everything since getting back. Managed a quick fang up the road on the db4 the other day and fitted my new carbon m/cylinder cover to the sb6 but that's about it. I haven't even cleaned my vtx since the big trip yet . Plan to do that on Sunday.
Cheers,

Yeah thanks again oily. I meant to get 1 without the logo but not to worry, that was my mistake. _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Dammit......My wife just bought herself another bike that will be one more project for me , so I better get off my butt and start working on some of these things.
She bought a 2004 Ducati 999 that needs a little electrical work and some TLC....which I will be giving to the bike. _________________ Look for my books...

...Well I'm glad she's well enough to be buying another bike DD
(shame about the make )
Indeed, it really is quite around here. Has everybody jumped ship?
Just finished the latest SB6. Looks really good, just got to decide what to do with it now.
Maybe post some pictures later.
At least it now frees me up to get on with the lightweight/big bore SB6 project _________________ SB6 mk1 (project mega light, big bore)

Nice... i quite fancy the 999 myself. I have a 749R in my shed at the moment that belongs to a mate of mine. It's very similar to the 999 and a real rocket.
Maybe the 999 project will get your motorcycling juices flowing again!

Looks great oily. Does it have many non-standard parts? obviously front discs. I'm not sure if i'd go with the crash knobs. Is the frame polished? _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

A few....
Carbon wheels, Re-covered seat, "Braking" front discs, colour coded mirrors to mention a few but mainly bog factory standard (ish)
Frame is standard anodised finish and the crash bobbins were on it when I got it and if I were using it, I would remove them
It's fate, at this time is undecided _________________ SB6 mk1 (project mega light, big bore)

Maybe some nice carbon fibre frame protectors would serve it better than the crash knobs _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |
