Hi All,
What is the largest rear wheel than can be fitted to an SB6
Thinking of fitting a 6" rear hoop, but not sure if there is enough room ?
Has any one fitted a rim this wide ?

Cheers,

Mines 6.25", so I guess mine's bigger than yours! Haha!

As you say though, a bit of a squeeze with a 190 on it too. Would have to space the sprockets out to get a 200 in.

It was in an SB6 before too, so it does fit. And had it in my SB6 briefly before it was sold.

I fitted a 6" with a 180 tyre in one of my 6's and had to shave the welds on the inside of the arm to get a fag paper of clearance Wink

When I was running the Antera wheels, a 180 worked much better with those than the 190 the bike came with, turned quicker. The 6.25" rear hoop only came about by a fluke, but worked very well indeed with a 190 on it, Supercorsa's usually. It's tight but the reduction in weight is well worth it, think the Antera's have lead cores, bloody heavy they are.

Yes you don't need a wider tyre and it will only slow the handling. You could try the higher profile 180/60

I was thinking of fitting some lighter Dymag wheels.
There was a set going for a fairish price on evilblag, but it was a 6" rear.

6" rear appear to come up a little more oftan than 5.5" rears.
Thats the only reason I asked. Not looking for a fater back end but just wondering what the options are.
Love the look of the original Antera wheels, just hate the weight lol.. Wink
