Well I've not long been back from a motorcycle trip and have added up some figures from the trip. I kept a diary and wrote down all my fuel stops etc. I've done a diary a few times on trips now. It's a great record and really good to look back on.
Days on the road - 36
No. of fuelups - 40
Distance travelled - 9020.9 klm
Fuel used - 514.03 ltrs
Fuel cost - $769.52
I camped a lot of the time, stayed with friends and relatives or stayed in pubs. Went to the Australian MotoGP and saw Casey Stoner crush the rest of the field with his 'awesomeness'. Rode some incredible road and saw some beautiful country. Visited 5 motorcycle museums and saw some great bikes. Only one had any Bimotas.
What a great trip _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

By the way... i was riding my VTX1800. Bike went fantastic. Didn't have to put a spanner to it once. Definately my favourite bike for doing that kind of trip. _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Sounds fun - looking forward to hitting Oz later this week - New Year in Sydney!
Any tips on places to eat / visit with the family from our Sydney owners? Looking at visiting the Blue Mountain and the Hunter Valley. _________________ Now - SB6R, GSX1400, KTM 990 SuperDuke
