The show is an annual event organized by the Brittish Motorcycle Owners Association. This years theme was celebrating 110 years of Triumph. _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Hi Brian, nice set of shots and in a nice industrial type setting which makes a change from the usual pomp and glamour that means a high entrance charge.
Like the Magnum meself also, Oh and the Bims.
With it being a BMA event is that Ex Brits that have bikes now living in Oz or British Bikes ? I suppose you don't actually have Oz bikes do you?
How far did you have to drag your bikes to get down to this event? |

Think its a Harris F1 frame with a Z1 engine in it.
Either that or its a Harris Magnum 1 looking at the tank. F1 was the race frame before they produced frames for road use. _________________ Si...

Ther's actually been a few Australian made motorcycles over the years. I think VeeTwo made bikes for a few years, Ian Drysedale made a few bikes too including the Drysedale V-Eight and there was also Hunwick Hallam who were in business for a few years. Also been some dirt bikes made here too from memory.
The BMOA is a club of mostly old farts that own Brittish bikes . Some very nice old bikes amongst them too.
The venue is an old warehouse on the riverfront in Mackay. It's always a really well supported bike show and getting bigger every year. They really need a bigger venue now as it's getting a bit crowded. It's only about 35 klm's from my humble abode but i trailered both of the bims in as it was easier. I've got some more photo's so i'll have a look and see if there's any more interesting ones. _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

I think you might be on the money there vince. I spoke to the owner and he said that it's a bit of a cross breed machine. He had to modify the shock mount to make the engine fit. _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

I don't think you mean "Technically" I think you mean factually
Spose you'll be claiming the Jap bikes as well as they're not too far away either _________________ SB6 mk1 (project mega light, big bore)
