|
|
Hi Guy's check out my SB6 run on a Mustang dyno
It made 119hp but this was just a blast for my benefit not a fully calibrated set up.
For reference a new stock GSXR1000 makes 151 on this dyno
I will post some graphs on my blog SB6 X Japan now in kiwiland in the SB section
Enjoy

...working on a gsxr 1000 being 175bhp +, that gives yours a healthy reading
BUT it's not the hp were interested in on the road. You need a big, fat, stump pulling torque curve and that's what these engines are all about.....
Now, get those graphs up _________________ SB6 mk1 (project mega light, big bore)

Hurl`s I too just placed my SB6 on the rollers to reveal the true identity of my engine.I`m new here & love the brand...I also know Suzuki engine`s with intimacy Mine made 127RWBHP on 30psi,latest dynatec.
Plz hear me out. The bikes that were being made back then,we were allowed to have 1100cc but the local postie could outrun you to the milkbar. Enter 'euro emission law' #95.
All bikes were capped at 100ps.The biggest issue with the SB6 is it has a glorious engine, but in its build. It dont go
Start with the air box,the cut out on the left..do it again on the back & the left, make sure you retard the hot air from the exhaust.Speaking of 'retard' go to the cam timing.I was alarmed with what I saw.Just get it back to what the factory sold it as & you will be happy (slot & dial if you can)
The standard muffler`s will stop most of it.
I,big cc`d my head,dialed the cams & the most beneficial was swapping the black box for the one off a 750 I have seen 12,700rpm & making power. _________________ if you aint` slidn` , you aint` ridn` |
