I was wanting to know what if any kind of frame sliders, or frame/ fairing protection people have come up with for use on the BIMOTA SB8 series bikes ????

Im primarily interested in what might work on the SB8K Santa Monica.

Although I would think that something that might work on the SB8R/SB8RS might also work on the SB8K ???

Anyone have any ideas?

thanks

Don't drop it - seems to work Exclamation

really though a frame guard would be best. I try to avoid crash bungs becuase they can dig in and flip the bike. I've seen them write a bike off because they're mounted to an engine mount or the frame. i think it's best to spread the imapct over the bike if possible not point load it.

Just like everything there is the good and the bad of it.

In a drop or fall over in the parking lot then a crash bung or "post" would be of help to possibly minimize damage but at speed I agree that this same single point of contact could become the pole vault.

You could get a sheet of cardboard put it against the tyres and lift it to see the first place of contact and take it from there.

When my 6 dropped the fairing deflected and it was all ok apart from the paint. Maybe start with some protection plastic on the paint ???
