....Been thinking for a while about a new helmet.....
Always been a fan of Arai in the past but they are now £stupid same as Shoei.
What's every body else wearing these days? _________________ SB6 mk1 (project mega light, big bore)

If you liked the old Arai's then try the Shoei XR1100 people seem to like them. When the time came to stop using my Roof I tried on a load of helmets and the XR1100 felt the best.
Until I tried the Schuberth SR1 (which I bought), since then there's a new touring helmet from Schuberth but these are expensive. _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

Always used Arai but was sposored by LS2 for the last 18 months and would recommend one of these carbon helmets. I have used two of these upto 40+ degrees and all weathers, inexpensive quality helmet worth a look.

I always used arai but like you got another make due to price hikes. I got the shoei and as good as it is, I still prefer the arai. Next time I'll pay the big bucks, cant beat them for comfort. _________________ Pomps

I always wanted an Arai but when I tried them on they didn't fit me
So I had a good look around and ended up with a HJC RP HA10 it fits me well and is only 1200g vents work well and now Lorenzo's got one
Buy the one that's the best fit, f&%k the money you only got one head and they don't heal that good _________________ Hursty from kiwi land |

A Gold label on a £100 Helmet, is the same as a Gold label on a £700 Helmet. Once the standard is reached it is only personal preference and the fit, noise reduction etc. Arai is not the quietest helmets ever produced. _________________ If your in front your about to be lapped ! |

HJC FS-10 Carbon for track and road use - the integral sunvisor is a bonus. Light, smart, well finished, quiet and affordable
http://www.visordown.com/reviews/kit/helmets---full/hjc-fs-10-carbon/5015.html
Shark Evoline 3 flip-front for touring duties - another with integral sunvisor - its a little noisy (wear earplugs!) and heavy but the locking chin bar is a great feature.
