Oh Keith, pieces of plastic at LEgoland, or pieces of Italian Porn next door at the Show.....You must have collected enough Brownie points until your dying day to have resisted the temptation to "pop out" for a few minutes, and we had spare tickets also.............. Crying or Very sad

A few. Possibly could have got away with bringing him in as well. Not sure whether he would be interested or bored stiff though!

How were the Sharks though? Was that the Sea Life centre in ScouseLand? Whats the age restriction? Think my son would be bang up for that one, always pushing his envelope, aged 10, but too short for Bimotas...yet.... Laughing

This was at the Blue Planet which is pretty much in Cheshire Oaks. Min age is 8 I think , and the nephew we took is 10. It isn't really swimming round with sharks (when 16 and / or qualified they can go in the main tank), rather getting to sit on a bridge under water in the tank. They get an hour or so of training in how to use the scuba gear before going in, and then about half an hour in the shark tank. Think it is a max of 4 kids a day, with 2 in the tank at a time with 2 divers with them. They were pretty good and patient with the kids.

All the best

Keith

Cheers Keith, yeh, blue planet, been there. Son is 10 also, but wasnt there, hed have been bored also, into his mountain bikes and would be with bikes, but his feet dont reach the ground, hence no interest yet.

Son has scuba dived before, very comfortable with it, Egypt doesnt have the same age restrictions as over here, in the sea with all the fishes. Always trying to find things that excite him, is more difficult each time, but that sounds right up his street...

Next year for the show though then...they gave 3 No. Free tickets per bike displayed, thought we were going to run out . had 48, but weather put a lot of people off from coming..

Next year...next year...We did get several people coming down and inviting us to there own shows elsewhwere, so perhaps a countrywide roving thing more than once a year...time permitting Surprised

As long as he isn't expecting to be swimming round the tank he should enjoy it

Would be good to have a few more shows. Will probably be at the Stafford show later in the year.

Cheers for the update and info Keith....Son does have high expectations, likes flying but doesnt understand why he cant go up front and be given a go himself, I think immersed in same pool as sharks would be sufficient bragging rights in the playground, although he is pretty laidback on that side...

I'll be sure to pop over to Stafford again, not that much space "upstairs" though for 15 Bimotas, but more shows would be good..

Dare you not with the "mod" , or even "timed log on on posts" as p'haps for most of us on here it now takes all day long, what we used to do all day...... Shocked

Manchester Bike Show "post" doing well with 1873 "viewings" since inception, roughly 267 per day over 7 days......who'd have thought Bimotas could bring such popularity.....Methinks it could be more, but perhaps some folk have had the pictures logged open all day long......... Laughing

lots of good advertising for carole nash in those pics... does that mean they are gonna help us when it comes to insuring??? last time I tried to insure a bimota it was either a big fat NO or costing more than insuring a 04 Gixer 1000 limited edition, a duke 996 and a fireblade all together.

Wow, you've been scanning the pictures with an eye for detail, 'twas "I" that took said pictures, but strangely enough never picked up they were Carole Nash....and I'm known for my attention for detail, must have been concerned for the girls safety, or that of the bikes, or something... Laughing not to have picked up on that.

I concure your thoughts though...never got insurance from them, either wouldnt insure or through the ROOF, been Footman James Classic Insurance all along for me....but they didnt have anyone at the show...

Well...its coming up to 6 months since the Last Manchester Bike show...and it may be a distant memory in most folks minds...so is anyone interested in collaborating in next years event?? On the assumption that there is to be a show that is, which I'll check...just interested to know who would be interested, past participants and new a-like...

Show is normally End of March each year...located near to the Trafford Centre, Manchester...
