...after an year spent on finding and fixing any big or minor problem, the first ride could have been wonderful or awful... no middle ways.
Well, I can say it's really a great bike... maybe a little too stiff on the rear (back dumper preload issue for the next check up) and absolutely without a rear brake (new pads arriving)... but very consistent in power delivery and very sweet to ride.
amazing sound, butter clutch, 125cc sensation riding the bike ... until you twist the throttle....

Usually i give my bikes a name of a pornstar. The ducati is Faye, the RC30 is Sasha... the SB6 deserves the name Tracy... booty, breasted and powerful

...but for now I have to admitt it's been only soft petting, waiting for better weather to get more confidence with her...

You're right
A rubber that ruptures during intense friction is not what you want .. Laughing

I used to have several movies that she was in back in the 80's before anyone knew she was under-aged. It's considered child porn to have possession of those old movies, now. IIRC, she only did one legitimate movie after she turned 18.

second ride (almost 200km)... spring has come Very Happy

Speedometer still don't work... I guess it's a bad routing with sharp bents... I took off the wire as I don't want to ruin the square ends untill I'll reroute the speedo cable (any suggestion or photos??)

I'd better use a thread lock in the 6mm back fairing allen screws... pretty easy to get loose and unscrewed

Low rpms (2500-3500) are lazy and sputtering... I guess it's too rich at lows as at high rpm it pushes really well. The only problem are the hairpins that sometimes need first gear to have a good traction in the exit

Amazing handling, lean capabilities, braking ....

photos near to come

Very Happy Very Happy

Hi Mako
Had the same issues,
Yamaha thunder ace speedo cable worked for me it's a bit tight on the headlights but works on my oscom wheels.
Once I had the carbs stripped cleaned and set up for our 98 octane gas? And three trips to the dyno apparently it now is smooth all the way but i have yet to ride it since the last tweak.
Each adjustment to main jet float height and needle height has produced improvement but i for one need expert assistance on this.
I also opened up the other side of the airbox so all bikes will be different based on set up.
Keep adjusting and you will be rewarded Very Happy

Check the fuel lines go to the carbs from underneath.

So, you've looked the rear dropping into 1st gear then !!!
